Meet David Cuddy!

David Cuddy is an Irish podcaster, forestry machine operator and content creator from the Slieve Bloom Mountains in County Laois. He is a husband and father of four, and family is at the center of his life.

Forestry has been a huge part of David’s life and career. He has spent years working alongside his brothers in the family forestry business, working in timber and operating machinery, while building a strong reputation within the tight-knit international forestry community.

Alongside that, David created MakingBigBank, which grew from his online content into a clothing, merchandise, and accessories brand. Together with his family, he’s been hands-on in developing, testing, and improving products with a simple rule: only sell something he’d be happy to buy himself.

David is also the host of The Wood From The Trees, a podcast built around honest and scripted conversations with people from all walks of life, focusing on their experiences, stories, and lessons.

The Wood From The Trees has grown into much more than a traditional podcast, with public seasons, weekly private Patreon episodes, and live shows around Ireland. The Patreon community has become a major part of the show. It lets listeners get involved and gives David the freedom to produce long form conversations independently.

That independence matters a lot. To date, David has chosen not to take traditional advertising or paid podcast sponsorships, protecting the freedom to speak openly and let guests do the same.

Despite the growth of the podcast, social media, and MakingBigBank, forestry remains a major part of David’s life. Machinery, timber, rural Ireland and the people in those industries still feature heavily in what he does.
